How To Edit Names on the Picker

The process for adding your own group of names to the list is straightforward. All that needs to be done is:

1. Click into the Edit tab
2. Highlight the default name list and delete it
3. Type or paste in your custom list of names

Once this has been done, the random name list to be picked from will appear in the wheel.

Uses for a Random Name Picker

There are all manner of potential cases where picking a name randomly is desirable. The first that might spring to mind is to pick the winner of a prize draw. In this instance, bias should be out of the question, and so a completely random selection needs to be made.

On top of that, this picker has the ability to be given its own custom design that will make it suitable for any occasion. Here are some instructions on how this can be done.

Themes, Backgrounds, Title

Go to the main menu and select 'Design'. From here a box opens where you can change aspects including giving your random name picker a theme. This is a fast way to bring life to the page using one of many preconfigured options including Bumblebee, Circus, Stormy and many more themes.

From this box there are also options to change the background of the page, and to show a descriptive title for the page.

Sounds

By clicking 'Edit' and then on the cog/gear icon, a range of other options are available to choose from. Use the drop-down picker to select a sound to play during the name-picking process under 'While Spinning' tab and a sound effect to end with under the 'Post-Spin' tab.
